The Story
The name Skullflower carries an intentional irony, two words that seem at odds, yet together embody the very phrase “happiness and grief can coexist.” The skull, a symbol of impermanence, entwines with the flower, an emblem of renewal, creating a union that mirrors life’s most poignant truth. The vision for “happiness and grief can co-exist” unfolds across luminous silk twill, a central skull with butterfly wings unfurling into florals, framed by an ornate border of vines and blossoms. Look closer, and you’ll find paisleys blending softly into the background, their quiet presence adding depth and a subtle nod to heritage craft.
