The Story
Rooted in quiet tradition, the Chhaya Trouser is tailored from handspun Khadi cotton (Kora), light, textural, and softly structured. Kora reflects the purest form of a fabric natural, unbleached and undyed. Chhaya, meaning shadow or silhouette, this piece evokes presence through restraint. The waist is finished with a Kamrabandh–style, a subtle nod to traditional Indian silhouettes, reimagined with modern restraint. Khadi cotton is a handspun and handwoven fabric known for its breathability, softness, and natural texture. Made using traditional looms and charkhas, it reflects India’s rich textile heritage and supports rural artisans. Its irregular weave and organic finish make each piece quietly unique.
