The Story
Still and strong in its simplicity, the Ruhè Vest is crafted from 100% handwoven Eri silk, known for its matte texture and gentle weight. Left undyed in its natural hue, the vest carries subtle irregularities which is a quiet signature of its handwoven origin. A soft cotton-silk lining ensures comfort, while the collar is traced with running hand stitches, each mark a testament to the human hand behind it. Worn as structure or softness, layer or standalone, Ruhè embodies restrained confidence. Eri silk, often called Ahimsa silk, is one of the only silks made without harming the silkworm. Spun from open-ended cocoons, it has a rich, matte texture and a soft. Woven slowly and entirely by hand, eri silk reflects a legacy of mindful making.
